Privacy policy

Fieldcraft rebuilds resumes, CVs and LinkedIn profiles and builds portfolio sites. To do that we need some of your personal information. This page says what we collect, why, where it is kept and how you can have it corrected or deleted. We wrote it to follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Who we are

Fieldcraft is run from Pune, Maharashtra, India. For anything about your data, email prateek.32gupta@gmail.com.

What we collect

What you type into a brief: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, city, LinkedIn and other profile links, and the details you give about your career, the roles you want, your work and your deadline.
Files you upload: for example your current CV, certificates, a photo, or images of your work.
Messages you send us: by email, WhatsApp, phone, or the "raise an issue" option in the site's chat helper (your name, email and message).
Other people's words you choose to share, such as testimonials. Only send these with that person's permission.

We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell your data. The site keeps a draft of an unfinished brief in your own browser, so a closed tab loses nothing. The draft never leaves your device unless you press Send, and it is cleared once a brief is sent.

Why we use it

to read your brief and send you a price and deadline;
to write your documents or build your portfolio site, and to handle your revision;
to contact you about your order;
to answer questions and issues you raise.

We use your information only for these purposes. We will not add you to marketing lists or share your details with employers or recruiters. Nothing you send is published: the sample CVs and portfolios on this site are fictional.

Where it is kept, and who else handles it

When you send a brief, your answers and files go to a Google Sheet, Google Drive folder and Gmail inbox that belong to Fieldcraft. Google provides these services and may store data on servers outside India. Other services handle your data only when you use them: WhatsApp (if you message us there), your own email provider, Google Fonts (which loads the site's typefaces), GitHub (which hosts this website), and the free hosting service your portfolio site is published on, in your name.

How long we keep it

We keep a brief and its files for up to 12 months after your order is delivered, so we can help with your revision or a later update, and then delete them. If you do not go ahead with an order, we delete your brief within 3 months. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it or delete it; you can withdraw your consent; and you can nominate someone to act for you. Email us at the address above. We will reply as soon as we can, and within 30 days at the latest. If you are unhappy with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Our service is for people aged 18 or over. If you are younger, please ask a parent or guardian to send the brief with you.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
